Finding readers

I am trying to learn how to find readers. I am researching all the ways to make that possible. It does seem like a long road especially from here, with only one reader. So what do I do? Do I give something away?

Some people seem to make that work with either an book, cd, or more likely an ebook that they wrote themselves. I can tell you that in a retail business it certainly works to give frequent buyers a discount of some kind, but how do you relate that to this business?

So I will keep trying to submit to various websites this blog, join various networks, and keep writing. Maybe at some time in the future I will be doing a give away of some type, I just need to figure out what.
